Maybelline Colour Show – Polka Dots

Ok so the new maybelline colour show polka dots nail varnish, this is what it looks like. The black and whit one anyway, I believe it comes in blue and green also.

There is one nail with just the polka dots stuff on, the rest are over Rimmels ‘Block your green’

It took a good few coats to get the amount polka dots I wanted so it chipped quite easy but if you like less bus nails this will be great for you.

Cloudy Skies – Nails

Hiya,

So I think these are my favourite nails so far. I wanted a cloudy skies design on my nails.

I painted the base white using – maybelline colour show – 130 Winter baby
Then using a normal kitchen sponge, I cut a square roughly the same size as my nail.
Painted the two blues on the sponge and dabbed away. Topshop- AWOL. And a w7 nail varnish which I can’t find the name of.

This takes a far bit of cleaning up, it was all over my fingers but it doesn’t take long to clean. Add a top coat and…….. TA DA

Enjoy

If you try this please email your photos and I will feature them on here. I would love to see what effects other people get.

Colour Clash

Another one for you, these are what are on my nails now. They were pink but the ends were starting to chip and I was too lazy to take it all off and start agin soooo…. I cut strips of masking tape off and stuck them on my nails so the top of each one was a different section. Then decided I love the colour clash of pink and red so added red.
Paint over the masking tape. Let it dry take it off, add a top coat and here you go.

Lots of love

Floral Nails

Hello all,

So I continued Nail Art Thursday with…. You got it, Nail Art Friday. Yayyyyy. So this time I thought I would concentrate on one pattern, flowers. It turns out I prefer a mix of patterns.
These were done with my dotting tools from amazon. Just a simple dip in the varnish and onto the nail.

Lots of love

Pink & Orange

If you read my post of my Beach Dress, you would have  seen how I said the colour clash of pink and orange is growing on me. The colours in the dress inspired me for these nails.
The pink on the underneath is ‘415 Instyle Coral – Rimmel – 6o Seconds’
The orange is ’17 Sunset Orange – George (Asda)’

The block colours across my nails was done with masking tape, I find it doesn’t pull of your nail varnish and gives the best clean-cut line.

The stripe down the middle was done by painting masking tape, cutting the strips and sticking them on, not ideal if you’re looking for a long-term thing. However If you want to try out nail patterns and see how they look this is a good way to go, much easier than trying to do it straight on your nail. Another bonus is you could change it every day, providing your base colour isn’t chipped.

Enjoy these, I know I do.

Love from,
Chelsea
